Career Highlights
Dr. Mehdizadeh completed a five-year residency in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at New York University. During his residency, he participated in surgical mission trips serving underprivileged and indigenous populations of Central America. He further realized his passion in laryngology when provided the unique opportunity of treating world-class opera and Broadway singers in Manhattan, New York.
He returned to the University of California at Davis to expand his expertise in complex voice and swallowing disorders while conducting a fellowship under the mentorship of Dr. Peter Belafsky at the UC Davis Center for Voice and Swallowing. Dr. Mehdizadeh has presented at international conferences and has received multiple recognitions for his work. He is fluent in Farsi. Throughout his medical career, Dr. Mehdizadeh has focused his time educating medical and undergraduate students and by providing medical care to disenfranchised populations through community clinics.
